Duck with pumpkin puree tops pork with plum surprise recipe on Win It Cook It

On the red team on today’s Win It Cook It with Simon Rimmer, are Amanda and Katherina. They were up against the Blue team duo of Alex and Freddie.

During the quiz to win the main ingredients the red team topped the blue team and chose to cook with a pork chop, apples and plums. This left the blue team with leftover roast duck, marshmallow and pumpkin puree.

The second part of the quiz saw the blue team coming out on top, and therefore got first choice of the remaining ingredients. They chose to cook with borlotti beans, celeriac and pain au chocolat, leaving the red team with fish sauce, dill pickle and apricot.

Both teams produced wonderful looking plates of food with their ingredients. For their main course the blue team cooked crispy duck served with celeriac and borlotti beans parmentier. For dessert they served up chocolate and marshmallow bread and butter pudding.

Meanwhile in the red corner, the main course was pork chop plum surprise and for dessert, apple and Wensleydale tartlets.

At the end of the 25 minutes cooking time, it was up to today’s guest judge chef Tony Sing along with Simon Rimmer to decide on the winner. They chose Alex and Freddie on the blue team.
