Mary Berry and Tom Allen served up a delicious bread and butter pudding with sultanas and lemon zest on Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking.
The ingredients are: 75g butter, softened, plus extra for greasing, 2 lemons, grated zest only, 200g sultanas, 8 slices medium-sliced white bread, 3 free-range eggs, 350ml full-fat milk, 200ml pouring double cream and 75g demerara sugar.
