Andi Oliver served up a delicious honey glazed ginger and stout cake on Andi Oliver’s Fabulous Feast.
The ingredients are: butter, for greasing, 230ml stout, 100g molasses, ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda, 3 large free-range eggs, 120g granulated white sugar, 120g dark brown sugar, 180ml rapeseed or vegetable oil, 470g plain flour, 2 tbsp ground ginger, 1½ tsp baking powder, ¾ tsp ground cinnamon, ¾ tsp ground cloves, ¼ tsp freshly grated nutmeg, ⅛ tsp ground cardamom, 1 tbsp peeled and freshly grated root ginger.
To glaze: 1 tbsp molasses and 1 tsp melted butter.
