Marcus Wareing served up a tasty BBQ sauce with black garlic, rosemary and apple juice on Marcus Wareing’s Tales from a Kitchen Garden.

the ingredients are: 100ml olive oil, 4 red onions, roughly chopped, 2 cooking apples, cored, peeled and chopped, 2 red chillies, chopped, 2 black garlic bulbs, cloves separated and peeled, 2 rosemary springs, 150g soft dark brown sugar, 1 tbsp sweet or hot smoked paprika, 1 tbsp English mustard powder, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp black treacle, 150ml balsamic vinegar, 100ml dark soy sauce, 500ml apple juice and 1.5 litres tomato passata.
