Raymond Blanc served up a classic vegetable soup with creme fraiche and pesto on This Morning.
The ingredients are: 1 medium onion, diced, 1 garlic clove, crushed, 1 medium potato, peeled and diced, ½ medium leek, 2 outer layers removed, cut into slices, 1 large carrot, cut into slices 3mm (¼ inch) thick, ½ celery stick, cut into slices, 20g butter, unsalted, Sea salt and freshly ground white pepper, 1 litre boiling water, 40g Frozen peas (optional), 40g Frozen broad beans (optional) and ¼ bunch chervil or parsley.
To finish the soup: 1 tbsp crème fraiche and 3 tbsp pesto (homemade or shop bought).
