Simon Rimmer served up a tasty New Year Shawarma Pie for the festive season on Sunday Brunch.
The ingredients pastry are: 450g flour, Salt & Pepper, 50ml milk, 50ml warm water, 150g chopped lard and 1 yolk, beaten.
For the filling: 650g lamb sausage meat, 15g of chopped pork scratchings, 225g pancetta lardons, fried, 125g chopped chicken breast, 1 Tbs sumac, Plenty of salt and ground white pepper, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp chilli flakes, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tbs chopped rosemary and 50ml Worcestershire sauce.
Serve with pickled walnuts, gherkins and pickled chillies.
