Marcus Wareing oat pancakes with maple syrup, bacon and berry compote recipe on Marcus Wareing at Christmas

Marcus Wareing served up tasty festive oat pancakes with maple syrup, bacon and berry compote on Marcus Wareing at Christmas.

The ingredients for the pancakes (makes 8) are: 250ml milk, 2 vanilla pods with seeds, 100g rolled oats, pinch of salt, 1tsp allspice and 3 eggs.

For the berry compote: frozen cherries, blackberries and red currents, 2 tbsp sugar, vanilla seeds, 3 cardamom seeds and pods.

To serve: fried bacon with maple syrup.
