Clodagh McKenna cheesy meatballs with creamy mash and a chilli tomato sauce recipe on This Morning

Clodagh McKenna served up a tasty Sicilian cheesy meatballs with creamy mash, cavolo nero cabbage and a chilli tomato sauce on This Morning.

The ingredients are: 200g ground beef, 200g ground pork, 200g ricotta cheese, 2 onions, diced, 4 garlic cloves, crushed, 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped, 80g parmesan, grated, 40g fine breadcrumbs, 1 egg, beaten, Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, 1 tbsp olive oil.

For the rosemary tomato sauce: 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 garlic cloves, crushed, 1 onion, halved and thinly sliced, 1 tsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped, 1 ½ x 400g tins of cherry tomatoes, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tsp dried chilli flakes, Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.

For the cavolo nero: 400g cavolo nero and 50g butter.

For the creamy mash: 1kg potatoes, cooked, 150g butter, 150ml whole milk, Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
