James Martin showcased a tasty homemade mayonnaise recipe serving it with a butterhead lettuce, chicory, blue cheese, caramelised pecan nuts and blue cheese dressing on James martin’s Saturday Morning.
The ingredients for the base mayo: 2 egg yolks, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 300ml vegetable oil, 1 tsp vinegar.
For the Blue Cheese Salad Dressing: 200ml mayo, 100g crème fraiche, 100g blue cheese, crumbled and 1 tsp Henderson’s relish.
For the Blue Cheese Salad: Mixed chicory leaves, 1 butterhead lettuce, 100g pecans, candied and 4 large croutons, crumbled.
