James Martin dhal with onions and a yoghurt, coriander and mint dip recipe on James Martin’s Saturday Morning

James Martin served up a tasty dhal with blooming onions and a yoghurt, coriander and mint dip on James Martin’s Saturday Morning.

The ingredients are: 80g butter, 1 onion, diced, 5-cm piece fresh ginger, chopped, 3 garlic cloves, chopped, 1 red chilli, diced, 2 tsp black mustard seeds, 1½ tsp turmeric, 2 tsp ground coriander, 2 tsp garam masala, 250g red lentils, handful of coriander, chopped and 1 lemon, juiced.

For the blooming Onion: 2 large onions, peeled, 100ml milk, 100g plain flour and Vegetable oil, for frying.

For the dip: 100g thick Greek yoghurt, 1 small bunch of coriander, a few mint leaves, 1 garlic clove and 1 lemon, juice only.
