Simon King and Dave Myers served up delicious double chocolate tart with marzipan balls on The Hairy Bikers Go Local.
the ingredients for the sweet shortcrust pastry are: 175g plain flour, plus extra for dusting, 115g unsalted butter, chilled and cut into cubes, 2 tbsp caster sugar and 1 free-range egg, beaten.
For the white chocolate filling: 200g good-quality white chocolate, broken into squares and 100ml double cream.
For the milk or dark chocolate filling: 200g good-quality milk or dark chocolate, broken into squares and 150ml double cream.
For the topping: 50g good-quality white chocolate, broken into squares.
For the marzipan balls: 150g good-quality milk chocolate, 25g butter, 125ml double cream, 1 tbsp caster sugar, 1 tbsp amaretto liqueur, pinch sea salt and 210g marzipan.
