Meliz Berg chicken doner kebab feast recipe on This Morning

Meliz Berg served up the ultimate chicken doner kebab feast on This Morning.

The ingredients are: 1 kg skinless, boneless chicken thigh fillets, 1 large onion, sliced in half (skin still on) and 4 large wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes prior to cooking.

For the marinade: 3 tbsp thick set natural yoghurt, 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses, 2 tbsp Turkish sweet red pepper paste (tatli biber salçasi), 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp clear honey, 1 tsp dried oregano, ½ tsp ground cumin, ¾ tsp ground cinnamon, ½ tsp pul biber, ½ tsp paprika, ½ tsp onion granules, ½/ tsp garlic granules, ¾ tsp fine sea salt and ¼ tsp coarse black pepper.

For the chips: 500 g Cyprus or Maris Piper potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-1½-cm thick chips and 1 litre vegetable or light olive oil, for frying.

For the pickled red cabbage: 250 ml red wine vinegar, 3 tbsp caster sugar, 150 ml cold water and 150 g red cabbage, finely shredded.
