Marcus Wareing served up tasty homemade pickled figs with ginger, honey and cider vinegar on Tales from a Kitchen Garden.
The ingredients are: 100g caster sugar, 20g fresh root ginger, sliced, 2 cinnamon sticks, 4 cloves, 6 cardamom pods, 1kg figs and leaves, figs pierced all over, 50ml honey and 150ml apple cider vinegar.
