Lisa Faulkner double chocolate cake with fudge sauce icing recipe on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen

Lisa Faulkner and John Torode served up a delicious double chocolate cake traybake with a fudge sauce icing on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.

The ingredients are: 340g caster sugar, 230g plain flour, 90g cocoa powder, 2 tsp baking powder, 2 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 1 pinch of salt (optional) , 2 tsp vanilla extract , 2 eggs , 140ml vegetable oil, 250ml milk and 250ml boiling water.

For the fudge sauce icing: 125ml water, 150g golden syrup, 50g cocoa powder, 100g dark chocolate chopped, 25g butter and 1 tsp plain flour.
