Ainsley Harriott brioche French toast with orange and honey-roasted figs, hazelnuts and mascarpone recipe on Ainsley’s Good Mood Food

Ainsley Harriott served up delicious brioche French toast with orange and honey-roasted figs, hazelnuts and mascarpone on Ainsley’s Good Mood Food.

The ingredients are: 250g mascarpone, zest and juice of 1 large orange, 140ml single cream, 6 ripe figs, halved lengthways, 2 tsp butter, plus extra for frying, 2 tbsp runny honey, plus extra (optional) for drizzling, 30g blanched hazelnuts, roughly chopped, 3 large eggs, ½ tsp vanilla bean paste or extract, 1 heaped tbsp golden caster sugar, 4–6 thick slices (about 2.5cm thick) of brioche and icing sugar, for dusting (optional).
