Juliet Sear served up the ultimate Birthday cake with buttercream, pinata filling and chocolate drip on This Morning.
The ingredients for the sponges (3x 8” round): 400g softened block butter, 400g golden caster sugar, 8 x medium eggs, 400g self raising flour with 1 tsp baking powder sifted/whisked in, 2 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract and 3 tbsp of bright coloured bake stable sprinkles.
For the Buttercream: 500g softened unsalted butter, 1kg sifted icing sugar, 2 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract and Extra sprinkles for the base and top.
For the Chocolate Drip: 150g dark chocolate and 2 tsp sunflower or vegetable oil.
For the piñata filling: A mix of jelly sweets, flying saucers etc. Roughly three handfuls for the centre.
