Ainsley Harriott served up a delicious Chocolate Sponge Traybake with Salted Caramel Sauce and vanilla ice cream on Saturday Kitchen.
The ingredients are: 250g butter, softened, plus extra for greasing, 125g caster sugar, 125g soft light brown sugar, 4 medium eggs, 200g self-raising flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 50g good-quality cocoa powder, A pinch of salt, 3 tbsp milk, 100g dark chocolate chips and 1 tsp cacao nibs (optional).
For the salted caramel sauce: 150g soft light brown sugar, 2 tbsp golden syrup, 250ml double cream, 50g butter and ½ tsp flaky sea salt.
Vanilla ice cream, to serve.
