John Torode served up a delicious baked Alaska with Madeira sponge cake, jam, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream on this Morning.
The ingredients for the base : 1 x 400g tub vanilla ice cream , 1 x 400g tub strawberry ice cream , 1 x 400g chocolate ice cream , Approximately ½ loaf shop bought Madeira sponge and 1 jar seedless Strawberry Jam.
For the meringue: 50 ml water , 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 300g Caster Sugar and 6 egg Whites.
