Ainsley Harriott served up palmiers two ways – sweet and savoury – with chilli jam on Ainsley’s Food We Love.
The ingredients for the savoury palmier are: 500g packed puff pastry, 100g Gruyere, finely grated, 3 tbsp chilli jam, 6 rashers of streaky bacon and 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves.
For the sweet palmier: 500g packed of puff pastry, 25g unsalted butter, melted, 45g caster sugar and 1 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon.
