John Torode and Lisa Faulkner crab cakes with Thousand Island dressing recipe on Saturday Kitchen

John Torode served up tasty crab cakes in bread rolls with chilli, ice burger lettuce and spring onions, served with Lisa Faulkner’s Thousand Island dressing with gherkins on Saturday Kitchen.

The ingredients for the crab cake rolls: 200g tinned crab, 4 large baking potatoes, 3 spring onions, finely diced, 2 long red chillies, seeded and finely diced, 1 good handful of parsley, chopped, 2 good handfuls coriander, chopped, 1 lemon, zested, plus half the juice, Flour, for dusting, 100mls Vegetable oil, 2 long soft rolls, Iceberg lettuce, shredded, Salt and pepper.

For the Thousand Island dressing: A good squeeze of mayonnaise, A good squeeze of ketchup, 1 tsp paprika, A few gherkins, finely chopped, 1 onion, finely diced, Juice of 1 half a lemon and Salt.
