Anton du Beke served up a delicious ‘cha cha’ cherry Bakewell cake using a cherry destone device on This Morning.
The ingredients are :150g butter, softened, 150g caster sugar, 150g self-raising flour, 150g ground almonds, 2 large eggs, 1tsp almond extract, 3 tablespoons black cherry jam, 200g fresh cherries, pitted and halved and soaked in a splash of Amaretto and 100g flaked almonds.
For the icing: 100g icing sugar and Juice ½ lemon.
