Alex Hollywood served up a tasty ginger beer gammon with tartiflette for the festive season on Nadia’s Family Feasts.
The Ingredients are: 5 ½kg Gammon Joint, 7 litres Fiery Ginger Beer, 250g Ginger preserve, 2 tbsp smooth French mustard, 2 tbsp Muscovy sugar, 2 Bay leaves and 1 peeled quarter onion.
For the tartiflette: Butter, for greasing, 1 garlic clove, halved, Oil, for frying, 1 onion, chopped, 1 x 120g packet of smoked lardons, 1 tsp dried Thyme, 2kg waxy potatoes, cut into 2cm chunks, 125ml white wine, 1 tbsp Kirsch or Brandy (optional), 500g grilled Reblochon cheese, 400ml double cream, Salt and freshly ground black pepper.
