Ann takes her steak and oyster suet pudding recipe from a cookery book by Eliza Acton called Modern Cookery in all its Branches.
The pastry crust of the pudding is made from suet, salt, flour and water, while the filling is made with steak, oysters and mushroom catchup.
The pudding is left to steam wrapped in a pudding cloth on the hub for 2 hours before serving.
