Anna Haugh fruit sundae recipe

Anna Haugh served up a delicious fruit sundae (Naval mess sundae) on Royal Recipes with Michael Buerk. The dessert ios said to be a favourite of the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip.

The ingredients for the ice cream are: 450g strawberries, hulled and quartered, 150g caster sugar, 350ml whole milk, 150ml whipping cream, 30g glucose syrup and 50g skimmed milk powder.

For the meringue: 3 free-range egg whites, ½ tsp fresh lemon juice, 100g caster sugar, 50g icing sugar, sifted and 2 tsp freeze-dried raspberry powder.
