Utako’s Earl Grey and citrus Japanese bread recipe

Utako Tanner showcased her Earl Grey and citrus Japanese bread on Top of the Shop with Tom Kerridge.

The ingredients are: 2 Earl Grey tea bags, 8 tbsp hot water, or more if needed, 100ml milk, 300g very strong bread flour, plus extra for dusting, 7g dried active yeast, 50g sugar, pinch salt, 40g unsalted butter, cut into pieces, 50g citrus peel, finely chopped, oil, for greasing and 1 free-range egg, beaten.

For the drizzle: 1 Earl Grey tea bag and 100g icing sugar.
