Matt Tebbutt chicken curry with saag aloo recipe on save Money: Good Food

Matt Tebbutt served up a tasty chicken curry with saag aloo and pilau rice for the Evans family on Save Money: Good Food.

This money saving meal came in at just £4.58 and serves 6 people.

The ingredients are: 15ml vegetable oil, 2 onions, peeled and diced, 4 cloves of garlic, peeled and minced, 15g fresh coriander, stalks and leaves separated, Knob of ginger, peeled and minced, ½ tsp turmeric, 2tsp garam masala, 1 green chilli, whole but slit, 800g chicken thighs, bone in, skin off, 400g chopped tomatoes and 150ml chicken stock.

For the pilau rice: 15ml vegetable oil, 1 cinnamon stick, 5 cloves, 2 bay leaves, 350g long grain rice and 500ml chicken stock.
