Mammude Ayoubi served Syrian falafels on The Big Family Cooking Showdown.
The ingredients are: handful fresh coriander leaves, handful fresh parsley leaves, 1 garlic clove, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp coriander seeds, 25g sesame seeds, 1 litre/1¾ pints vegetable oil and good pinch sumac, to garnish.
For the falafel sauce: 3 tbsp tahini, 3 tbsp plain yoghurt and good squeeze lemon juice.
