John Whaite Chinese steamed buns with coconut custard recipe on Chopping Block

John Whaite served up Chinese steamed buns with coconut custard dessert on Chopping Block.

The ingredients for the dough are: 250g plain flour, 10g caster sugar, 10g baking powder and 170ml milk.

For the coconut custard: 1 large egg yolk & 1 large egg, 15g coconut milk, 30g butter, 1 tsp vanilla bean paste, 17g caster sugar, 40g cornflour and 2 tbsp custard powder.
