Tom Morrell, one of our favourite chefs, was voted out of the MasterChefs The Professional finals on Monday as a result of a few small errors in his recipes.

The invention test set by Michel Roux Jr and Monica Galetti, saw the four finalist create two recipes each from scraps of food.

While Adam, Tom, Scott and Steven all served up amazing plates, the judges felt Tom’s starter was too simple for such a talented chef. His main course was considered to be tasty, but did not have enough of his delicious sauce dressing.

On his exit, Tom said the feedback he received Michel and Monica will only serves to make him wanting to push himself more to get to a higher level in his cooking.
