Paul Hollywood Kanellangd Scandinavia Christmas cinnamon loaf recipe on The Great British Bake Off Christmas Special

Paul Hollywood showcased his Kanellangd Scandinavia Christmas cinnamon bread for the technical challenge on The Great British Bake Off Christmas Special.

The ingredients for the dough are: 75g unsalted butter, melted, 250ml full-fat milk, warmed, 450g strong plain bread flour, plus extra for dusting, 1 tsp ground cardamom, 5g salt, 7g packet instant yeast, 40g caster sugar and ½ free-range egg, beaten (approximately 1½ tbsp).

For the filling: 75g unsalted butter, softened, 1 tsp vanilla paste, 1 tbsp ground cinnamon, 75g caster sugar and ½ free-range egg, beaten, (approximately 1½ tbsp), for brushing.

For the sugar syrup: 100g caster sugar.

For the icing: 150g icing sugar and 1 satsuma, finely grated zest only.
