James Tanner served up a tasty toad in the hole with sticky thyme onions dish on today’s episode of Lorraine.
The ingredients are: 8 great quality sausages (pork and spiced apple are good), 2 tbsp olive oil, crushed sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
For the onions: 1 large onion, peeled and thinly sliced, 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp clear honey, 2 tbsp of balsamic vinegar, 150ml beef stock, 1 tsp chopped thyme leaves and Knob of unsalted butter (optional).
For the batter: 100g plain flour, 2 eggs, 300ml milk and pinch of crushed sea salt.
