Rick Stein served up a delicious almond tart with crisp pastry, butterscotch and flaked almonds on Rick Stein’s Long Weekends.
The ingredients for the pastry: 150g plain flour, sifted, plus extra for dusting, 75g butter, chilled, 60g caster sugar and 1 free-range egg yolk.
For the filling: 225g flaked almonds, 120g butter, 120g caster sugar and 4 tbsp milk.
