Effie set up her business 2 years ago to handcraft teepees and accessories for children. She has since sold over 800 teepees and 1600 accessories turning over more than £100,000.

Effie came into the Dragon’s Den looking of an investment of £50,000 for 10% of her business.

After a very reassured presentation of her business and products to the dragons, Effie received offers from three of them, Duncan Bannatyne, Kelly Hoppen and Deborah Meaden.

Both Duncan and Kelly made her an offer of the full amount for but for 20% of her business and said they would also be happy to split the deal between them, but Deborah wanted 25% of the Effie’s businness.

In a surprise move, Effie chose to give away more of her business than was necessary and accepted Deborah Meaden’s offer.
