James May race a small Renault Twizy in St Petersburg Russia on Top Gear while Jeremy Clarkson an hovercraft and Richard Hammond take to his bicycle

Top Gear returns for a new series this year where we will see presenters James May, Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond in the first episode racing across the city of St Petersburg in Russia.

James May race in a small Renault Twizy, Jeremy Clarkson use an hovercraft while Richard Hammond try to show that peddle power is king riding a road bike with drop handlebars.

James’s Renault Twizy is one of Renault’s electric vehicle offering and with a price tag of around £7,000, it could well earn a place among Britain’s most affordable electric vehicles. Part-car, part-scooter, and entirely zero emissions, is a combination that could see it populate our burgeoning cities in the future.
