James Martin and Nick Nairn explored the Orkney Islands visiting places like Stromness Harbour and the North Ronaldsay on James Martin’s Great British Adventure.

North Ronaldsay is one of the most remote of the Orkney islands and home to Billy Muir, who rears a unique herd of sheep. Back on the mainland, James cooks up some of Billy’s lamb chops on the barbecue with chimichurri sauce, broccoli and new potatoes.

The celebrity chef’s Orkney journey ends with a boat trip to catch the famous brown crab, which he uses to rustle up a tasty Orkney crab pasta for Nick, back in Stromness.
