Richard Ayoade enlisted the help of Eamonn Holmes to test self-improvement reaction gadgets including the OptiLights, Loopz Shifter and the OctoRhythm to tonight’s Gadget Man.
OptiLights is an integrated training programme that includes eight RGB LED lights with built in motion sensors. Players wave their hands over the lights to trigger the proximity sensor. It can create goals to improve their speed, reactions and overall fitness.
The Loopz Shifter features four built-in music, memory and motion games. Games are played by waving hands through the flashing loops in time with the music.
OctoRhythm is a reaction-based rhythm game similar to the traditional game of rock, paper, scissors. Over the course of four different games, users must memorise hand symbols in sequence and repeat each gesture in time to the beat.
