X Factor boyband One Direction look set to storm the US charts with their debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’.
‘What Makes You Beautiful’ has rocketed it’s way up to No. 10 on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 chart, just one day after it was released in The States on Valentines Day.
Recently it was revealed that the band had to bring the American release date of their album ‘Up All Night’ forward by a week, when their fans started camping outside record stores, waiting to get their hands on a CD.
“What Makes You Beautiful” is the lead single from the boys’ album and it debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart, after setting a Sony Music Entertainment pre-order record and selling 153,965 copies in its first week.
The single has been nominated for the Best British Single award at the 2012 BRIT Awards, which will be held on 21 February 2012.
The boys third single ‘One Thing’ was released in the UK this week and is expected to be a big hit, when the charts are revealed on Sunday.
