The X Factor 2010: Matt Cardle Played At His Local Pub on X Factor Homecoming

Matt CardleMatt Cardle returned home and sang a few songs for his fans in his local pub the Five Bells Pub, Colne Engaine, Essex.

The X Factor homecoming allows the finalist to visit their local communities to say thank you for their support and to encourage fans to keep voting to help them win the X Factor crown.

On arriving at the venue – still not very well as we saw at the weekend – Matt was overwhelmed by the amount of support he received from fans at The Five Bells on his arrival with mentor Dannii Minogue.

Matt who is still the bookie’s favourite to walk away with the X Factor title on Sunday, settled into his local once again and performed to an intimate gig for 200 lucky people inside the pub, ahead of his official comeback concert in Colchester in the evening.

Before singing ‘Nights In White Satin’ for the crowed, Cardle thanked his fans saying:
I want to say thank you from me and Dannii, to everyone, for supporting me. It means the absolute world to me.

There’s no real words to describe how this makes someone feel, so I’m not even going to try because my vocab’s not that great anyway. I’m just going to sing, so thank you so much.
