James Martin serves up roast peppered beef with Yorkshire puddings based on his grandmother’s recipe, alcohol, bourbon mustard and all the trimmings for a family favourite on James Martin: Home Comforts.
James says: “This roast beef recipe with homemade mustard takes Sunday lunch to another level.”
The ingredients for the bourbon mustard: 50g yellow mustard seeds, 50g brown mustard seeds, 75g light soft brown sugar, 2 tbsp clear honey, 100ml cider vinegar and 75ml bourbon.
For the beef: 1 x 4kg three-bone fore-rib of beef, preferably aged for up to 28 days, splash vegetable oil, salt and freshly ground black pepper and 300ml beef stock.
