Paul Hollywood St Lucia buns recipe on The Great British Bake Off Christmas Masterclass

Paul Hollywood makes tasty St Lucia buns with raisins and saffron for the festive season on The Great British Bake Off Christmas Masterclass.

Paul says: “These saffron-infused, raisin-studded buns actually hail from Sweden and make a delicious festive snack at Christmas.”

The ingredients are: 250ml milk, 1 tsp saffron threads, 50g unsalted butter, 500g strong white bread flour, plus extra for dusting, 1 tsp salt, 1 x 7g sachet instant yeast, 50g caster sugar, 100g quark cheese, vegetable oil, for greasing and 1 free-range egg yolk, for glazing and 24 raisins.
