Gino D’Acampo makes black forest gateau with cherries from the eighties on Let’s Do Lunch.

The ingredients are: 175g salted butter, 100g 70% dark chocolate, 300g SR flour, 375g caster sugar, 4 tbsp coco powder, 1⁄2 tsp bicarbonate soda, 2 eggs, 200g yogurt, 8tbsp cherry jam, 1 x 400g tin of pitted cherries ( reserving some of the juices), 4tbsp kirch, 600ml double cream, 4 tbsp icing sugar, 300g fresh cherries and 50g of chocolate shavings or curls.
