The second group of celebrities feels the heat as they enter the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen to cook for survival and book a place in the next round.

They must undertake three tough culinary challenges in a bid to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace with their cookery skills.

The celebrity’s in tonight’s heat are, actors Amanda Burton, Ken Morley and Emma Barton, TV presenter Alison Hammond and former JLS singer JB Gill.

The first challenge for the five hopefuls is the Mystery Box test – the infamous test of imagination and creativity. They all have to use the box’s ingredients to create their interpretation of a burger. They have just 50 minutes to make their dish from scratch, and must think on their feet to impress the judges.

In the second task, the celebrities are split into two groups to take on the challenge of cooking for the first time in a restaurant kitchen, preparing dishes for paying customers.

Amanda, Emma and Ken are sent to Spanish restaurant Iberica, while Alison and JB have to master the exacting standards of Marcus Wareing protégé Chantelle Nicholson at The Gilbert Scott. The celebrities in both kitchens feel the pressure as they experience life in a restaurant during full service.

In the final test its back to Celebrity MasterChef headquarters as the contestants are asked to prepare a two-course menu of their own design in just one hour and 15 minutes. This is their last chance to prove themselves to the judges, because at the end of this test one of them will be for the chop and get their taxi fare home.
