Nisha Katona served up classic onion bhajis with gram chickpea flour, coriander and broccoli on This Morning.
The ingredients are: 200g gram / chickpea flour, 1½ tsp ground coriander, 1½ tsp ground cumin, 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander, ½ clove garlic, grated, 1 green chilli, deseeded and sliced, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper, ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda / baking soda and 4 white onions, roughly chopped.
Optional additions: any chopped vegetables can be added to the batter along with the onions and Vegetable oil, for deep frying.
For the dipping sauce: 250g natural yoghurt, 1 tbsp mint sauce, ¼ tsp sugar, 1 clove garlic, grated (optional) and Salt, to season.
Coriander to served.
