Jack Stein served up a spooky and spicy chilli con carne for Halloween on Steph’s Packed Lunch.
The ingredients are: 1.5 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1.5 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp tomato ketchup, 0.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 0.5 tsp Marmite, 150g softened butter, 1tsp salt and 1tsp Chinese 5 spice.
For the Chilli: 50ml Olive Oil, 450g beef mince, 1 onion, chopped, 2 garlic cloves, Star Anise, 100ml Red wine, 500g beef stock, 2 tins tomatoes, 1 tsp chipotle smoked chilli, 1 tbsp salt, 450g Kidney beans and 1 green finger chilli, chopped (optional).
To serve: Avocado, Sour Cream, Coriander and Baked Potato or Rice (optional).
