Kate Humble served up tasty toad in the hole with onion gravy on Escape To The Farm.
The ingredients for the batter are : 100g plain flour, 1 tsp mustard powder, 2 eggs, 175ml whole milk, salt and pepper for seasoning.
For the filling: sage sausage meatballs, sausages and dripping or vegetable oil.
For the gravy: butter, onions, 1 tbsp flour, 500ml beef or veg stock, 2 tbsp red onion chutney, 1 or 2 tsp mustard or mustard powder, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
