Yorkshire pudding beef wraps with onion gravy dip and sauerkraut relish recipe on Hairy Bikers: Route 66

Si and Dave served up tasty British street food consisting of Yorkshire pudding beef wraps with onion gravy dip and sauerkraut relish on the Hairy Bikers: Route 66.

The ingredients for the batter: 150g plain flour, pinch salt, 4 free-range eggs, beaten, 250ml milk and 1½ tbsp beef dripping or lard.

For the onion gravy: 25g butter, 2 large onions, thinly sliced, 2 bay leaves, dollop yeast extract, such as Marmite, 25g plain flour, 600ml beef stock, few thyme sprigs, dash Worcestershire sauce, salt and freshly ground black pepper.

For the meat: 1 tsp mustard powder, 1 tsp crushed black peppercorns, 1 tsp salt, 500g sirloin steak, at room temperature and sauerkraut and pickles, to serve.
