Lisa Faulkner cherry and almond tartlets with cherry sauce recipe on John and Lisa’s weekend Kitchen

Lisa Faulkner and John Torode served up delicious cherry and almond tartlets using tin cherries and arrowroot on John and Lisa’s weekend Kitchen.

The ingredients are: 50g unsalted butter, 50g caster sugar and 50g ground almonds.

For the fruit: Tinned or jarred pitted cherries in syrup, 50g caster sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1-2 tsp arrowroot.

To serve: 100ml double cream, whipped to soft peaks.
