The red haired singer impressed both Will and Danny O’Donoghue enough for them both to press their buzzers and turn around.
Friend of the late Amy Winehouse Tyler James impressed the judges with Otis Reading hit Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay.
The 30-year-old told hosts Holly and Reggie about his close friendship with singer Amy, who passed away last year.
“We were friends from about the age of 12 or 13,” he explained. “We were like two peas in a pod, two halves of the same person.”
Recalling learning about Amy’s death last summer, Tyler described it as the “worst day of his life”.
