This week the following acts all joined Will-i-am’s team in the hope that he can guide them to victory in the competition and launch their new career in music:
Joelle Moses
Joelle Moses impressed with a cover of Adele’s Rolling In The Deep.
The 21-year-old former X Factor contestant been trying to make it in the industry for the past five years, hoping to finally step out into the spotlight herself after years of baking singing.
Joelle has previously performed alongside the likes of Gabriella Cilmi, Toni Braxton and Rihanna.
Jay Norton
24-year-old Jay Norton impressed with his take on Aloe Blacc’s I Need a Dollar.
The pizza restaurant waiter managed to get Will.i.am to press his buzzer within seconds, while Sir Tom Jones also turned around moments before Jay’s blind audition finished.
Kate Read
Kate Read wowed the panel with a cover of True Colours by Cyndi Lauper.
The red haired singer impressed both Will and Danny O’Donoghue enough for them both to press their buzzers and turn around.
Tyler James
Friend of the late Amy Winehouse Tyler James impressed the judges with Otis Reading hit Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay.
The 30-year-old told hosts Holly and Reggie about his close friendship with singer Amy, who passed away last year.
“We were friends from about the age of 12 or 13,” he explained. “We were like two peas in a pod, two halves of the same person.”
Recalling learning about Amy’s death last summer, Tyler described it as the “worst day of his life”.
