The new series of Got To Dance kicked off with a bang this week as the show’s host Davina Mccall and the judges – Ashley Banjo, Kimberley Wyatt and Adam Garcia – traveled around the country to find a dance act who could win a £250,000 cash price.

In the pre-publicity for the show, the judges all claimed that the standard this year is higher than it’s ever been and judging by the auditions we have seen so far we think they might well be right.

There has been some exceptional dancing from contemporary and tap dance acts and some very innovating moves form street dance and commercial dance acts. With this in mind we have compiled a list of acts that have caught our eye that we believe stand the best chance of making it through to the semi-finals this year because they offer something a little bit different:
